detroit cancer around the fenders????NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am getting rust around my rear fenders and i dont know what to do. i seen it the other day and it made me sick.! what can i do

Wait till spring/summer. When the salt is no longer used. Then sand down to bare metal. Prime and repaint to match the rest of the truck. Some body shops will do this for around 500 dollars depending on how bad the rust damage is.

Since you say Detroit Cancer I am guessing your from Michigan.

just what he said. if its cancer then you may have to have the metel cut out and weld in a new piece.

no... ha actually im from indiana and my dad has owned fords all his life and everyone of them has gotten rust right there and thats just what he called it. lol then i started saying it and it just kinda stuck. wierd i know... but its all good
p.s. what causes all fords to do that????????? its almost like one of the great wonders of the world. because if it aint rusting now, it eventually will... sounds crazy but true. i know a guy with a 97 f350 psd with 30k on it!!!!and it is starting to rust!!!!!i offered him $18000 for it and he wouldnt take it. it is almost perfect!!

you can buy replacment wheel archs for about 50 a pop, cut out only what you need and weld back in and smooth down. Then if your not comfortable painting you can go and get your bed painted for about 500 for a nice paint job if you do the preping yourself.

where can you get the wheel arches from? my 95 has a little rust through that i need to fix.

online or some auto part stores have them i do body work so i got a comany i always buy them from so.there about 50$ but if they art to bad just sand down to metal and prime and repaint if anyone is in ohio i can do the work.

I always buy stuff through Auto Body Panels which is a local store for you, but you can find them lots of places online, i even think JCWhitney sells them

yea they do i sometimes go threw them
