Do you have factory cab lights now? If yes you will need the new lights (bases and covers) and just plug them in and screw them down, if no your gonna need to get the wire kit from say a recon set of lights or get the factory wire harness, plugs rite into the pass side kick panel, it's pre wired for it

Re: Cab lights on obs 97.
It does not currently have cab lights yet. I didn't know if a 92-97 harness would work with the newer lights though. Thanks.

Should just plug in but not sure if sd harness plugs in at kick panel, but the lights them selves should just plug into the harness, I know dodge lights do

Only major problem i see is sealing. The roof shape on the the two trucks are different and the super duty ones are molded for the super duty roof not an obs so make sure u use some sort of silicone sealant. as for the plug as long as the harness is the same the super dutys also plug right behind the passenger kick panel

Most lights have that rubbery seal at the base, if he is making new holes it should seal fine, the obs lights never sit flush either

What's a reasonable price for a factory obs harness?

To install SD cab lights you have to drill thru BOTH the outer AND inner roof. You also going to have to drop your headliner as well. You will be drilling 15 holes in the outer roof and 10 in the inner roof
![]() A NEW harness is about $75 from ford. Or you can go to a junk yard and get a used one for about $10 |

Re: Cab lights on obs 97.
Local salvage yard told me $50 today. I figured that was kinda pricey for a used harness. What's the need for the extra holes?
