F150 bed

I have a '97 F250 with an 8 ft bed (dual fuel tanks). Wondering if I can swap an F150 bed onto this truck or will the bolts be in different locations?

the bodys were the same from the F150-F350. I had a 94 f150 XLT and doors and everything fit on my buddys 97 F350. Only thing they changed was the motor!

OK second question, what years were the body parts the same. My old '88 F150 looks like the same as the '97, but maybe they changes something somewhere.

There is a '90 F150 parts truck with immaculate body and thinking of buying it and using some of the body panels and bed. Will this year be OK?

SAME part #'s are coming up in my system for the 1990. They didnt change from 88' to 97'. only thing that was changed was drivetrain and powertrain

There are three generations of this truck. Working backwards: 92-96 & 97 OBS all parts same, 87-91 all parts same, 80 or 81-86 all parts same (interior & exterior). Doors all interchange (later yrs had an adtl body line at bottom of door). Beds from 87-97(obs) same length all interchange. Tailgates different styles but will interchange w/ all the tailgates hardware from the bed you take tailgate from. Interiors: dashes are specific to ea gen, but trim & seats s/b interchangeable (dash w/ some mod I'm sure will interchange).
