Do I need a drop pitman arm?

I just finished my RSK and Dana 60 swap. My truck is a '97 F250 and the donor truck is a '97 F350. The RSK kit is from Sky and is their "new & improved" kit with improved rear shackle angle, super duty springs, and new bilsteins.

I don't know how much net lift it is, but it's quite a bit more lift than I expected, and honestly more than I wanted. My pitman arm has a slight drop, maybe and inch or two below straight, I assume from the previous owner's ttb lift.

Now I'm wondering if I need more of a drop for the correct steering angles. I'm getting some bump steer in my first few test drives, but the angle of the drag link and the angle of the track bar are very similar.

The truck also seems to wander quite a bit going down the road. I haven't taken it to get aligned yet though, so I'm hoping some of that problem will be cured with proper alignment.

How do I know if I need a drop pitman arm? Any advice will be appreciated.

It's hard to say what you have. I just went from a stock 250 to a Sky RSK with SD springs and did need a drop pitman arm however it is possible that you have a aftermarket one that would work. From what I have read a stock D50 arm won't allow full lock to lock steering with the D60.

Thanks JSchuricht. It seems to turn all the way from stop to stop. In fact, I was impressed with how sharp it turns. Is that the only symptom of the incorrect pitman arm?

I'm wondering if it's contributing to my bump steer.
