bed swap from a 99+ ?

Hi there,
I just bought a 97 f350 dually, and it looks like someone overloaded the passenger rear corner of the bed....there's split metal, and sagging. I wa just wondering, has anyone ever done a swap putting a newer style bed on these style trucks? I'm looking for pros, cons, suggestions, feasability, complications, or aligment issues, or simply a slap on and bolt in deal.
Thanks

^^He is right. The body lines are completely different. Plus, the OBS has a square look and SDs are a rounded body.
