4X4 Off Road Decal on Pickup Bed

I have a 1996 F350 7.3L Crew Cab 4X4. The truck is a 1996 but, was built in late 1995.

The 4x4 decal on the side of my truck bed reads "4X4" and in red letters underneath the 4X4 is "OFF ROAD".

I notice that this decal is on the 1995 series and that on the 1996 Models the Red Font "Off Road" is eliminated.

My truck is all original, so I was wondering if this decal could have been a limited carry-over from the 1995 line and then "4X4" only decal was added as units were built in 1996.

I was wondering if anyone has any history/comments on this or has a 1996 with the 1995 decals like mine.

Off road was a package that was offered. I think all it is are some extra skid plates, may have been more than that, but I know I read that skid plates were part of it.

I think that is right.

I as wondering more about the correct decal (4X4 Off Road) versus 4x4. I think the 1996 had all the skid plate options it is just that they stopped referring to it as "Off Road". I notice that the 1996 sales brochure does not mention and "off road". Thanks

My '97 which my dad bought new has the "4x4 Off Road" decal. I think it was just the option package which included skid plates.

I am fairly positive that they came in different colors depending on the color of the truck.

Yeah, its on a black truck, with "4x4" in gray, and "Off-Road" in red.
