As a newbie myself I am looking at exhaust also for my new (to me) stocker. I can tell you that Farmerboy products has some GREAT prices on exhaust right now. I'll be ordering mine TODAY If you're going to mod the truck go with 4" exhaust.

4inch turbo back exhaust is popular around here. runs about 300-350 dollars, multiple vendors carry similar exhaust systems in that priced range. Aluminzed kits for that price, not Stainless steel

I'm running a 5" straight pipe. I love it. The truck does too. All I did was took a stack off of a Mack and welded it under the truck. good to go.

I see were Farmboy is advertizing a ss turbo back 4" for $349 plus 60 to shipped. I hope that's a good deal. Seems that everyone is raving about it. $410 for stainless steel.

in my honest opinion all 4" straight piped sound the same... the diff between diff. manufactures is how well its designed for a staright bolt on setup... ex: where and how all the hangers are welded... plays a big part on how easy the average person can install it and how fast.... for me i love the MBRP systems... one of the easiest exhaust to install... although i have Magnaflow in my own truck with the muffler... and it does very good as well.... what every you decide on def go with SS and if you see alot of salt then go with 304SS a lil more expensive but it will last longer... prob outlast your truck hope this helps
