bumper mods

i didn't want to hi-jack another thread, I was going to make a new front bumper for my truck since i had to cut the factory mounts off to fit in the intercooler, but with not much time right now i decided just to mod my factory one.















i moved the mounts to the outside of the frame rail and made some new tabs, should have it on tomorrow.


I also built some rear lift blocks to offset the little bit of lift that the reverse shackles i build 2 weeks ago gave, they are 1.5" taller than the factory bumpstop blocks. I just got done putting these on, they look good.

I don't know if those welds are gonna hold on those blocks. Lol. Those are some very nice welds. I like that bumer, definately a lot better than a stock one. That shop is awsome, lots of steel and a welder, that could be sooo much fun!

alright got the bumper on today.






got her sitting level again with the rear blocks in. Truck rides so much nicer with reverse shackles... i cannot even believe it.

that is awesome where did you get the roof rack made up? i was thinking of having one made up myself but was also thinking of having a kinda clean looking truck, but after seeing all these trucks i kinda wanna do something that just looks mean as hell, man i shoulda bought an f350 lol

Haha, wow thanks guys!!! I really apresiate all that! Ya I build every thing, even lift blocks lol, to cheap to buy it. Plus it's a fun hobby/ trade. Never been to Cali, hoping to go this winter though. I'm from Oregon but over here in north Dakota making some oil field wage. I'll hit you up if I make it down. Have freinds that ride quads down there.
