1997 3rd brake light

Can you use a 3rd brake light assembly from a 99' - 07' to replace on a 1997?

-00' F-250 7.3 supercrew, 4x4
-Leveling kit w/ mickey thompson 18" rims, 35"x12.5"x18" toyo Mud-terrains.
-Superchip flashpac, Banks 1.10 turbo upgrade, Air raide intake, 4" MSRP straight pipe exhaust.
-Rebuilt tranny, w/ shift kit, racing clutches, and billet tripledisc torque convertor.
-3.73 gears, (open diff in front and posi in back)
-zoodad mod
