Window Tint
So I tinted my door windows to 35%. It seems to almost match the rest of the factory tint on the other windows. If I wanted to make the back windows darker, do I just tint over what's there? I'm under the impression that the factory tint is built into the glass?
Advice on what I should do and best % to use, or what you guys have used, would be great. Thanks in advance!

When I got mine done, the guy removed what was already there and put new stuff on. 5% in the back and 20% in the front.

I went to a Ziebart today and was told the extended windows and back glass windows had the tint built in and they would just tint a 20% right over that?

Are you wating to go darker in he front too. They will tint over the factory tint but the front will need to be stripped off and retinted if you want to go darker.
I want to do 5% on the front windows and then tint 20% over the factory tint on the back. Should match up pretty close. |

I was either going to keep my 35% front or go to a 20% front (not sure if it'll be too dark for my liking) and 20% over all the back stuff, making it a little darker than the front. Then I'm also debating on a windshield tint strip.

that factory tint is built into the glass. but if you have other tint on there, it will have to be removed to put the new stuff on.
i went with 30% in the front and 5% on the back two and back window. if you put the 5% on the back over the factory tint, its the equivalent to double limo. |

The tint that I had on the truck was not built into the windows. 97 eclb 250 4x4 zf5

Pull out your razor blade and scrape it off, re tint when finished, or clean it really good with soap and water only, and tint over it.
