I don't think so, just compare the wheelbases between the two trucks. I was toying with the ridiculous idea of putting my Excursion body onto the frame of a brand new Superduty as the regular cabs are the same wheelbase as the Excursion.

Requires modifications, possible, guy on olderfseries.net started with a regular cab long bed ended up with a crew cab really short bed, but should work for ya if ya got time

I know that I will have to shorten the bed which is no problem but I didn't know if the bolt holes would line up or not. I have never removed an entire cab so I didn't know how difficult it is to remove and install. Any further guidance is greatly appreciated.

Yes, they do line up. However the crew cab has 2 more bolts than the ext.

You'd wind up with a better truck if you just bought a crew cab frame rather than shortening a bed.
Plus, I can't imagine resale value on something like this being very high. |
