Chrome Trim on Windshield

I was removing the chrome trim on my windshield without the special tool and think I broke a bunch of the clips does anyone know what the best way to repair this would be?

Places like NAPA will have replacement clips.

How do you reinstall it? I did the same. Except blacked it out.

It's a pain in the arse, you've got to have the clips lined up with the groove in the trim, then get them centered over the retaining stud in the cab, then just smack it into place. Trouble is it's hard to keep the clip lined up with the trim piece from my experience.
