If you want to go with a solid axle swap then you are gonn be looking for a Dana 60 from a 87+ F-350. The bolt pattern is 8 on 6 1/2. Which is just smaller then the SD wheels so the 8 on 170 mm wheels wont fit. Good luck with the swap!

Should work. All the F-350 from 87 and up ran a the Dana 60, the F-250 though had the annoying TTB which would be a pain to swap and are only Dana 50's.

No problem! When you go to get the parts for the swap try to get all the suspension parts with the axle. Including the leafs, steering arms, and there is a track bar on the back of the axle, you'll need it along with the bracket on the frame for that bar.
