Alright like the title says, i want your opions on visors. i got two roomates and a girlfriend who say it'll look gay a **** but me, my bro and cousin think it looks amazing. ive looked at threads but theres mixed feelings about them. also would the lights in the visor look better or cab lights behing the visor?? i'm full of questions but basically im trying to settle this ordeal. also links to where i can get one would be fantastic :icon_ford:
ya i know what ya mean!! alright guys...valid point on the holes in the cab if i ever decide to take it off IF i get one. anyone had any trouble with high winds or interstate speeds with visors? i hear that if they arent on good they can seem really flimsy. again thanks for your input:thumb:
I like em. they are alright on SDs but i think they look good obs OBS trucks. I think it also looks better if you don have clearance lights on the truck either. The moon visors with the built in LEDs are nice.
My buddies 91 Bronco
Like I said earlier, to each their own... If you like it, rock it out. Don't worry about what others say.
I've got a buddy with an early '99. It's got a visor and factory cab lights. He loves the way it looks. I think different. But the trick of the whole deal is, it's HIS truck. That's the way you ought to look at it.
I like the way that they look on the OBS. Not a big fan of them on the new body style though. Like everyone else said, go with what you think you'd like. We're not driving your truck nor will we judge you? Haha, go for it if its how you want your truck to look
I really like the way the look, I paid $60 for a used lund moon visor, spent $150 to get it paint matched and its been laying in my garage since last may because i haven't got up the courage yet to drill holes in my roof.
If you do a visor, get the moon visor with lights. The only problem is Lund no longer makes them, you'll have to find a used one. I have no problem with wind noise on mine. Heres a pic of mine.
I have a bug deflector and visor. I don't have any wind issues or vibrations at any speed. I think they look good on the OBS but I agree they look like crap on the SD. If your interested in what it might look like I can take a few pics at different angles for you. Otherwise I say go for it. Like everyone else has said. its your truck
I recently aquired one I'd be interested in selling.
It's a lund with the lights in it. I'd you're interested shoot me a PM and I'll get you some pics.
On an OBS, yes go with the moon visor, no cab lights.
On an SD, the visor looks gayer than a bag full of rainbow colored dildos.
I had a 95 gasser with the moon visor, and my 97 has one also. The one on my 95 rattled ever so slightly in higher winds, no issues with the one on my 97 so far.
my dad had one on my 95 f-150 looked extremely horrible on there, but when i see them on lifted trucks they look really good, being as how im currently getting my sas parts together for it i will put that back on eventually, but for now its setting in the side of my garage, bad thing is when i took it off and put silicome in the holes it made, truck leaked water out the front just after the windsheild and now i need new carpets, but i like them only if they are on a 4wd or atleast lifted, mine looks exactly like 97p-stroke's truck except lowered on 22's and a white stripe instead of grey
this is one of it, but i dont have the visor on it and its short bed
