windshield trim

i'm gonna paint my chrome windshield trim black. HOW IN THE HECK do i get it off!!! only place i could see getting it off was on the top in the center. is there a special tool you need to get it off/on?

I did this to my truck and it looks awesome. Its not to hard to take off the pieces they should just slide off. its almost like they are on a track just pull them from the slide and they should come off. There are clips that hold the trim on the body and be super careful when taking them off because i broke a few of mine when i did it. The pieces of trim are easy to bend also so dont force taking them off as they can get creases in them.

Do you take the clips off first or what? Tried it this afternOon and couldn't get em off. Any more tips?

They say you can use flat screw drivers put it's easier to crack the windshield.
