Exhaust questions

So i want to do a little something to my exhaust by cutting it off in the middle or anywhere before the rear tire so i can have a nice L- pipe coming out for the exit. I like the way it looks im just wondering how having no muffler will affect how it drives and other things.

By "cutting it off in the middle", you'd be leaving the muffler in tact. There'd be no difference in how the truck drives. When you start changing things from the muffler forward, then things will change.

Yah you should be good and not have to cut off your muffler which woould make your truck louder.

no. what i want to do is take the cat out straight pipe that, cut the exhaust right before the muffler tube thing, then weld my side dump exit together. The muffler would be off.

Mine is straight piped all the way and instead of an "L" pipe you should go with a 45* angle out before the rear tire. Looks WAY better. Thats what i got with a nice 5" Black MBRP tip. I'll try and snap some pics for ya...

Our great state doesn't have emissions bub. Just safety inspection. Which you will also fail unless you have a muffler unless you have a few friends.

Technically the Turbo on diesels is considered the muffler ha, so you can run straight all the way out.

I have a question though, I have a 95 f250 and want to do a 4 inch straight pipe to get rid of cat and muffler then a side exit with a 5 inch tip. Just wondering if it will make the diesel smell worse? right now you can deff smell it while cold
