1997 Mirrors????

Seriously, why is it so hard to find the manual folding mirrors for my truck? 80% of the OBS trucks I see have that style on them. The (I call it) triangle bracket style, that the chrome mounting plates always rust on....those ones! Bought a set online that were supposed to fit....were same ones on the shelf locally that didn't fit either. Grrrr, now I get to pay shipping back to the place and only to get exchange credit.

I understand the older ambulances and 350's had the all stainless set up on them? Where can I buy brand new, and not pay a complete arm and a leg?Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Huh, just looked them up. Like what they have, requested the catalog, prices not too bad. But the only place I could find the mirrors were in the 80-96 pickup truck section. Why do all these suppliers leave out the 97' Heavy duty trucks? Or I am missing something? Anyhow, I requested that catalog as I'm pretty sure that'll pertain mostly to my 97. Thanks for the info!

Hmmm, thanks. Checked that site a few years ago for parts but not these. Same fitment though...80-86! Am I losing my mind or is my truck some sort of fluke...or do I have aftermarket mirrors? I really don't think I do but....why do none of the parts suppliers address a 97' with manual folding mirrors? I'm think that's when 1/2 tons changed body styles but not the 3/4's? First, I'm checking the yards and if not luck, or either way...I'm headed to a dealer and maybe they'll know something. Thanks guys
