This is totally unrelated and I've wanted to ask this for a long time and bare with me here but on obs F-350 duallys was there any way to get 4x4 from the factory or you just had to convert a 4x4 250 to a dually?

There should be a tag on the rear differential cover. It will tell you what gear ratio it has and if it is a limited slip or not. if its a limited slip it will either say 3.L55 or 4.L10. If it has an L in it, its a factory 2 pinion "trac-lok". I snatched up a 3 pinion factor trac-lok out of a 99+ superduty from a guy I used to work with for $50. all it needed was a side bearing (which i used off the open diff. that came outta my truck). Works just fine. I went with the 3 pinion because its a 2 piece case. I unbolted it and shimmed up the clutches to make sure it was plenty tight. hope this helps.

It says on the tag on the door "Axle 35 Type P" what does that mean?

not really sure about the door tag, I've always looked on the diff. tag. You should be able to ask the parts department at your local ford dealer. they should be able to give you an answer.
