Biggest tire for 97 F-250 help

Buddy has a 1997 F-250 GASSER reg cab long box. It sits damn tall but I guess stock being he got it used but the guy never touched it. Great find all around minus to stroker. Anyway he has the stock 16's on which he likes, curious if someone knows the biggest tire size we can go on that and still be in the clear. He recently added a 3" block to the rear so its higher for towing, and now wants to get maybe a few inches out of the front. Suggestions on that would help. And if we went a few inches more than stock in the front what tire sizes we looking at for that.

Thanks a ton!

Well on an F250 I had 16.5" rims and bought 36x12.5x16.5 and fit those with a tad bit of rubbing up front stock. You will have to space the bumper out up front, but thats no hassle. If you stick with a 16" rim, the biggest and easiest tire to get a hold of and not rub would be a 35"Hope this helps
