Newbie needs some help

Okay guys first post here, welljust bought my first ford. 95 f-250 4x4 ex cab- lwb turbo psd with auto. Now I know it got that wierd twin axle thingy up front and at the junkyard I work at he has a front dually axle that's a solid axle with ball joints...now he wants 350 for it, is it worth the hassle to swap it over the single wheel? And to swap it into the truck also what are the ways to tell if it's a d60? I'm a chevy guy so bare with me guys
