Tire wear?

We have a 1998 Ford e350. After replacing with new tires and an alignment, we found the inside of the front tire on the drivers side keeps wearing. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Did you have the alignment done before or after you put the new tires on?

may be wheel bearings or ball joint, but the alignment shop should have let you know if they were bad.

We have always had the alignment done after the tires were put on.

sum reason my right rear tire always wears out so quick lol but yeah none of that any more tires cost to much lol, maybe sum bushings are bad but i dunno even if u take it back they wont say its thier fault ohh and plus how wide can we go with our stock rims ???

Most good alignment shops will give you a print out when they finish that states what all the measurements were when they started, what they should be, and what it was when they were done, if they didn't give you that I would ask for it. If it somes to it take it to another shop and ask them to just CHECK the alignment, tell them that you had another shop do the work and you don't think they did it right, with any luck they won't charge you for it hoping to get your business.

the older fords are harder on tires then any other truck on the road but that shouldn't make that big of a difference,i would take it to another alignment place and have them do it and if that doesn't fix it have the front end redone..i have a customer that has a 99 ram3500 DRW with the CTD and the drivers front does the same thing and he hasn't found out want causes it so he just drives it as is..all it does is wear out tires really fast witch i don't mind

on a stock Ford that has 16" wheels the biggest and widest and still looks good is a LT285-75R16..or if you have a 17" wheel or bigger a 12.50" wide tire will work and however tall of tire that the wheel well allows..
