Brighter Rear Lights

I painted my Rear tail lights and got pulled over twice by blind cops, so im wondering if theres any tail light Bulb upgrades?

so how you paint tail lights to make em brigher?

I painted them to match my truck, and you can see them awesome when u hit the brakes and decent when they are just on. but im wondering if theres any brighter bulbs worth buys? or should i buy new tail lights?

They won't stop harrassing you until you put either factory ones back in or something clear with correct bulbs. They are trying to make an example out of you. If you want them to stop harrassing you I would go with clear ones with a very light tint coating.

where can you get a set of good led taillights and dont say ebay cus they dont have led taillights for these trucks

I have never seen LED taillights for our trucks. You can purchase aftermarket housings and install LED bulb assemblies in them. There is a company that makes an expandable LED bulb assembly but I can't remember their name off hand.

I had a simmilar problem a few years ago. I had used severall thin coats of black paint to black out my tail lights. You could still see the lights fine but a cop pulled me over ad tryed to give me a ticket for them... I decided to get balsy with him figuring i had nothing to loose since i just moved into this province. I started to argue with them that their was nothing wrong with them and that is how i had purchased them. He then started to argue with me that they were not leagle... I then pointed out to him why to they say DOT on them then dosent that mean they are leagle? Boy did his fase turn red..hehe ... he ended up getting me on having my drive and pasanger door windows tinted... Had em limo black at the time... So i agreed to take it off if he didnt give me a ticket for it and forget the incident about the lights what he originally pulled me over for.. Took the tint off and wated a month and put new tint back on just not as dark. Figured what do i have to loose no ticket no record of me being pulled for it..LOL

you gotta make sure any bulb you buy has the proper resistors an what ot in them to make sure that they dont confuse the truck to thing a bulb is burnt out.
