OBS Tie Downs
Have any of yall added some tie downs to the corners of your beds down low? I have some on my bed rails but there are loads that need some inside the bed down low. Anyone done somethin like that? I know I could get some from Cabelas or somethin but maybe someones been creative with some cheap Home Depot parts. Thanks!

I put some in an old Dodge Dakota. I just used some 3/8" eye bolts mounted about a foot in from each corner. Used some large washers on the underside of the bed. Worked well for all that it would ever haul.

Picked up some stock Ford tie downs out of a 2000 something at the junkyard, they charged me like a buck a peice. 2 bolts hold them in just used some 5/16 bolts with washers behind sheet metal. Looks neat and easy to do. Later Whit |

Yup....put in vertical track bar in each rear corner so that you can adjust tie down point higher or lower (to bed level) pending what you are hauling. Works awesome for me....have also configured tie down point at back of drybox/fuel cell which bolts through box bed and holds drybox in too....
Will take some pix here and post soon as roads clear up of snow/gravel/keerap.... jrc |
