anybody put big west coast mirrors on?

I'm sick of the worthless tiny stock mirrors on my truck. I've seen the superduty mirror mods but I don't want to get that huge blind spot and loose my vents. Want to get some west coast mirrors for it.

Anybody done this? I've seen a lot of slightly bigger towing mirrors but nobody ever with the semi style tall west coasts. How hard would they be to mount do you think?

I've always like the way the tall west coast mirrors looked and I've been driving a small dump truck lately that had these on and I loved the visibility especially for towing. I wanted to see you guys thought before I dropped the cash on them. Would love to get heated ones too.

There is a company here in N Texas with Chevy service trucks running those mirrors on them. I personally do not like the look but what ever floats your boat. JJ

why does he/we need them? have you seen the mirrors on our trucks? even with the slip on extensions they suck. all the extensions do is vibrate so much they are worthless.
To the O.P. I have also been thinking about the trucker mirrors, I found some a while back online some place I cant remember where though.
But there are all kinds of options, the ones I found are electric (turnable), heated, and have a marker light, and you can get them in crome, aluminum, and stainless. There is a picture of an OBS over at the Nation with some black ones. I would link it but I don't know how to.

The number one reason I'm looking into them is for more visibility while towing. stock mirrors suck and I figure if I'm gonna go with new mirrors I'd like to get a heated one too and I've never found any besides the west coasts that have that(my mirrors are manual) Plus, they might look awesome....ok.....or horrible
