what do you have to do to put sd springs ?

there's a spacer on the bracket from sky you have to cut off, you have to mount it further forward, I think people with stock bumpers have to notch their bumper, and you have to enlarge the holes on the bracket and shackles for the larger SD bolts

I'd like to see some before and after side shots of a trucks stance after doing this. I'd like to do this too, but don't want to have to lift the rear of the truck any more than it already is.

If you go to Sky's website and read their steps for installation - the first step is to take off the front bumper.
Is that right? I might have a problem with that step. I planned on doing this in my drive way but if the bumper has to come off - I'm in trouble. I have been doing a lot of reading on the RSK & SD spring mod and this thread is the first thread that I have come across that talk about modifying the RSK to accommodate the SD springs. Cutting off a spacer and enlargement of holes? |
