Transfer Tank question

Hey guys, I just picked up a 35 gal. transfer tank from a buddy. He painted it red to match his truck better. I was wondering if there would be any issue's with me painting it black? I haven't seen any black transfer tanks and I didn't know if that could cause the tank to get too hot out in the sun or something to that extent.

There is nothing wrong with painting it black. All the ones in the service trucks I work on are black!

My aux. tank was installed at the Transfer Flow plant in Chico, CA. It is black. They only have black or bright diamond plate aluminum to my knowledge.

You're welcome Travis. Come to think of it, over the years I've had diesel trucks with Red, Blue, Black, Brown, Yellow, Green, Gray and polished aluminum.
