Won't pull in any gear

I ave a 97 E350 and just replaced the flexplate in it after the center of it broke. So whenever I tried to start it, it wouldn't turn the crank. When I first got it started after the job it made a sqeeling sound for about 10 seconds in neutral, I revved it up some and it went away. Now that I have it back running again, I tried to put it in reverse then it just stalled the engine. Now when I start it, it won't do anything in gear. No matter if its in reverse or any forward gear. I can hear the engine idle up and down as I move throughout the gears and thats it. I lost a lot of fluid when pulling the tranny but I filled it back up again. Any ideas as to why it won't pull now?
