Trouble stabbing ZF

so far my tranny & clutch/flywheel swap has gone pretty well until...........

time to stab new tranny, i have a cheap *** AC delco tranny adapter for my floor jack that im havin probs with. cant seem to get the angle right to get the tranny stabbed.

my only experience is either in a shop on a lift and a nice tranny jack or on my back with a lil ole mustang tranny. this mother is HEAVY and a PAIN to get aligned.

any tricks?

not sure of anything except some pry bars and brute force. Just work with it for a little while and maybe get some extra hands and you should be able to persuade it in
