1997 F350 4x4 Tranny question

OK,

Just bought the truck has 240K on it. No leaks or drips underneath. The tranny doesn't make any strange sounds or anything, but it seems like it shifts from 1st to 2nd to 3rd really fast, doesn't allow the engine to build up power? Any suggestions? It goes into all gears and runs down the highway at 80-85 no problem. It doesn't really seem to kick down when rolling and you stomp on it, just kind of seems to gradually go faster. Also, no check or service engine light. The truck was bought from the original owner who had it maintained by ford, lots of service records. Could it possible just need a filter, fluid change? The only thing done to it recently is a new fuel pump. The truck is 100 percent stock as well.
