my '96 f-250 7.3 with auto. transmission w/ OD is slipping/stalling between 1st and 2nd gears. It doesn't have this slip between other gears. If i romp on the gas when in first, the rpms go up and the truck still goes forward but not like it should and it won't go into 2nd. If i let off the gas pedal and then get back into the gas, it shifts. It seems to be worse once the truck warms up. I have changed the fluid and filter, but to no avail. Any advice would be much appreciated. |

Is there any specific reason I am not getting any responses on this thread?
I am just curious as to why I am not getting any responses on this thread. Do I need more specific information such as exact transmission? etc...

Go ahead and replace the trans. Take it to a reputable trans shop, or order a good built trans. Theres no use in skimping on the trans. It's the weakest link. I had mine built for around 2200, all new internals, everything upgraded and new billit low stall converter. This was with me pulling and reinstalling. Gonna be around 2800 turn key. The trans was also modded to hold up to any extra power from modding the motor.
