Question will not pull in OD?

Its the truck in my sig. and it has 250k miles, and it runs fine in 3rd, but every 10 minutes or so it would not pull in OD or hold a steady speed when I pulled my trailer today for about 5 minutes?,anyone know the cause for that?, I believe its time for an upgrade any suggestions on a trans around 4k?

For that reason right there
