trans grinds going into 3rd. need help

dont have the money to have it rebuilt .how hard and what does it cost to replace the synros. need help









96 f350 4x4 5spd

I have the same problem with my truck, bearings and syncros run about 700.00 for the parts. It's probably a day's work to disassemble the trans and put back together. I parted out a 2WD truck, and I hope I can swap the output shafts myself (which still required complete dissasembly of the trans.) Hopefully you can find a donor trans for less.
