1995 e4od gear selector won't go into park

My gear selector for my truck has always been stiff to change gears but today I went to put in park and my gear selector will only move to reverse then I went back to drive and tried again now it will only go to neutral.. Is there a way to adjust the gear selector? And also adjust it to make it easier to change between gears? My truck is currently parked in neutral with the E brake on.. Thanks

Take a look underneath the steering column and you will see some gold colored torx bolts , I'll bet they are loose or about to fall out
