shift light blinking?????need help

every now and then my shift light for my od will start binking. when it does this my trucks shift points become really harsh and very aggrevating. then after a few days it goes away.i have already changed the cps sensor.could it be a bad tranny sensor or is my valve body need to be replaced.

Nice looking truck.... Mine did the same thing and the computer was reading a tranny slip. But it went away and hasn't come back. dunno what caused it.

yeah its wierd it do it stay for about couple days then not do it for months then just pop up again.

Mine did that and the trans went. The blinking OD light is like a limp home mode so it wont cause anymore trans damage. I would get it looked at asap

yeah it told a friend of mine about it(he's the lead diesel tech@the ford place)he said hes going to get his tranny guy to look at it for me. not really prepared right know to change my tranny money wise right now u know what i mean

yeah when that light comes on it normally means something is wrong with the trans

Definitely get it checked out man

If the light is flashing, you need to get the codes read. Remember not all code readers can read the codes on a PSD. If the light is flashing you have codes in there. When mine started flashing it ended being the tranny, had to save while on deployment. Good luck

well i guess its a good thing that i work at a parts store. got a guy thats going to tear into it after the first of the year and put stronger internal parts into and a custom valve body hopefully it will hold up until then
