Torque converter will not lock cold
The torque converter on my 96 F350 will not lock up when the engine is cold, as soon as the engine temp gets to the first line the TC locks.
Is this a feature to help the engine warm up or is there something wrong with my truck? |

this is a feature to help warm the trans, also keeps rpm's up to warm the motor. i notice my converter will not lock until tranny temp is around 55-60 deg. nothings wrong with you truck

have a 91 bronco with the same transmission and its always done the same thing. Its fine.
