Question tranny feels like its pulling against truck

97 4x4 7.3l has a new tranny straight from Ford. about 1500 miles on it. I just replaced the right axle housing, ball joints and seals on the front right side due to an impact earlier in the year.

Now the tranny seems to make a hissing noise only when it is just above an idle driving down the road. It feels like it is pulling against the truck. When I get on it or just give it fuel it goes away (shifting to another gear).
It doesnt always do this either.. any ideas?

I havent pulled codes yet nor talked to a mechanic. Will do after the replies to this post. Thanks powerstrokers!
