E4OD Overdrive light flashing/No speedo

Hey guys today I just had a problem start with my tranny in my 96 F350 4x4. I drove the truck for about 10 minutes pulled into the local auto parts store, when I left I backed out put it into drive started going down the road and the truck wouldnt shift just reved up to about 2200-2500 rpm, was stopped in a construction zone looked down and the Overdrive light was flashing.

When the truck wouldnt shift I noticed the speedo was at 0kmh did a bit of research and that means it could be a speedo sensor? Before today my speedo would jump around but the tranny never acted up, does the speedo bounching before this futher prove its a speedo sensor causing this issue. The overdrive light flashed in a buddys truck and it was the torque converter.

I checked the tranny fluid it wasnt low and didnt smell burnt, any ideas guys? thanks

Vss is bad, bad connection, also the 3rd brake light is asocitated with that circuit and can also cause problems if the light is burnt out.

Does the odometer still display a number? If so, does it count up as you drive?

Running lights still work? Dash lights? Mine was a blown fuse under hood. Big main 50 or 60. I think it was fuse 21
