Very harsh low speed downshifts......

I've been researching my problem quite a bit sourcing most of my info from this site. Searches, reading, searches, and more searches and reading.

I have narrowed it down...... Bold statement for someone who has owned his diesel for less than a month

The vss

The EBPS tube is completely clogged-- a new one is on the way ..

And the tps and throttle bracket sensor mod that's floating around. I have not bent the tab on the pedal assembly nor have I made the other sensor adjustable by drilling out the holes.

At 25mph the rpms are at (+) (-) 600. And the truck is definitely not coasting ---it is down shifting prematurely .....

All other shifting and engine operation seems fine.

Please, any feedback would make my weekend. Thank you.

directly in front and on top of the engine. there is a little wire harness going to a sensor. below the sensor is the tube. then it runs down the block on the passenger side to the passenger exahust manifold.

look up the precise instructions to remove it. do a search on here. someone did a great write up on it.

and thanks yall. Im in the process of eleminating the vss and the EBPS tube as the culprits.
