strange sound
I need some advice I have a 95 with auto trans and noticed when I started driving it this morning it was making a sound like "sandpaper" before it would shift up to the next gear, but once I got up to 65 mph it stoped. The truck feels like it's loseing a little power til it up shifts. The only mods done to the truck is a tymar intake and 4" turbo back stright pipe. The truck has 159,00 on it. Does anybody have any ideas? thanks

I can't help with the problem, but I moved your thread to the problem section. Hopefully it will get more attention here. Good luck.

Are you in cold weather? Is it possible your sandpaper sound is you EBPV. When my EBPV closed it would sound like "Sandpaper" or a loud hiss. It lowers power when closed but the sound would quiet way down at 65mph and eventually go away once the engine warmed up. I just finally unhooked. It kills mpg. Hopefully it is just your EBPV and not your tranny.
