Scan for codes, could be the VSS sensor (in the diff)

My truck does the same thing (OD light flashes and shifts hard) when tranny fluid is even slightly low.

-blacked-out headlights

-6 by 8' flatbed
-KC lights
-silencer ring removed
-17ton anchor shackle
