Transmission type

I have a 97 F250 4wd 7.3 PSD. I went into the local parts store to pick up a trans filter kit because I want to change out the fluid. They said there are 2 different kits for the SD. How do I tell which one?

Do you have another parts store to go to? Since your truck is a 97 that means its not a Superduty. Dont you just love people that know all about vehicles as long as they have their parts computer in front of them.

not necesaraly (sp), I had a 1996 super duty at one time, they were an OBS truck with a heavier suspension and 10 lug wheels, basicly it was an early F450.

Sometimes the shops have been drinking a little too much bongwater and don't know what they're talking about.
