95 5 speed

stuck in gear. dont know what gear. just bought it and trying to get it running. any advice would help! thanks

"Stuck in gear" could mean a lot of things. What exactly is/isn't happening? Is it impossible to move the shifter, engine on or off? Does the clutch fail to disengage?

My truck doesnt need to have the cluth pressed for it to slide in and out. This may be a little bit of a stretch but the the engine may have gotten rebuilt and not replaced right and is shifted on something. Happened to my buddies bronco and threw everything off. He had 4th and 5th and reverse.
