tranny leaking

'97, Auto...tranny is leaking...not at the fluid pan, but before that...place where the fluid is comin from looks like a modified V or U shaped with sharp corners. It's leaking in the middle. I know I have a rear main seal leak, but this is tranny fluid. Any ideas? Take it to my mechanic? I added 2 quarts of tranny fluid this morning and she is leaking. Not hemorrhaging, but leaking pretty good.

Is it comming from the front of tranny, dripping from inspection plate? Could be input shaft seal.

are you sure its trans fluid? and it probly isnt the rear main leaking on the rear passangerside of the valley there is a drain hole that will allow any oil or fuel from the valley area to drain from and look like its the rear main going out
