My E4od Dies when put in gear
Motor starts & runs fine in park & nuetral when put in gear motor dies.(7.3L)-1996-
I'd say the TC is stayng locked. When ansering tell me where to look for prob/anser-- as you know the truck is a cluster of wires & hidden things. Last edited by Bassdawg; 09-16-2012 at 12:16 PM. Reason: feedback

That sounds like Abadan neutral switch to me, but I'm not sure.

When you go into moving gear, does the truck want to go forward very hard and do you have to hold down the brake hard? If so I'd think the TC is staying locked.
