stalls sometimes when put in reverse.

Truck stalls sometimes when i put it in reverse unless i give it a little gas meaning diesel. kinda sounds like its bogging down what does this mean?

I had this SAME exact issue. It could be the ipr, but try changing fuel filter and CLEAN THE FPR SCREEN. Since I cleaned my fpr screen, my truck has been running like brand new. 100% better than it ever has.

I dont think tranny.. although it could be the TC sticking which stalls the motor out.

Torque convertor. Might be sticking.

How might go about fixing that? The truck is 17 years old would that mean rebuild on the torque converter maybe?
