well haha, remanuf when i bought truck. replaced TC 50k ago and cant remember why. has always locked up in reverse but released before it died. now it dropped out of OD and OD light flashed. shifted ok but no OD. got it home and let sit few days. drove 10 miles and was getting "false neutral". got worse til stopped working completely. towed home and started and moved 50 ft and false again. replaced fluid, drained TC and replaced lines and filter. now it shutters in drive like slipping, and reverse locks up til it dies. i dont think TC locks up in drive. one good thing it doesnt go false neutral anymore!

was the fluid black or pink when you drained it?
