Hey everyone, first of all sweet forum! I'm new here and fairly new to the diesel world. I am wondering if anyone can give me some input on an issue. I have a 97 F250 with a blown E4OD. I have a friend that has a rebuilt 91 E4OD and I am wondering what it would take to swap his into my truck? Their both behind 7.3s and 4x4. I have been told that it wont work at all and also been told that if I put a 97 torque converter and solenoid pack in the 91 it might work. Nobody has been able to give me any clear answers as to if you can do it, why or why not. A friend of a friend who worked for ford for like 8 yrs rebuilding these will rebuild mine for about $1750 with all the updates. I'm leaning towards the rebuild due to time issues and hassle, but if anyone has some input I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
