maybe im missing something
yes ive been asking alot of questions and what not.. but some of the questions i have ask, and many others have ask, always say call bts or such, to get a rebuild done.. i DONT need a billet torque convertor, i dont need something to hold 1000hp... this truck i have i paid less than 3000 for. I drive it MAYBE 2000 miles a year. (its an x-penske truck), that i use to haul my race motorcycle around in.
Can someone give me a good rebuilder, that will give me a warranty, for not a **** ton of money, thats not wanting to sell me a bunch of stuff that i personally will never see the benefit of? |

Twisted Diesel or John Wood will build ya trans without all the fancy billet stuff, but they still aren't cheap. If you want cheap you can go test your luck with a local builder. But quality parts and warranties aren't cheap.

Good builder for cheap? Probably won't find that.
Why do you need a rebuild? I'd get a 6.0 trans cooler or one off a V10, a good valve body, trans flush, and external filter. |

what im being told by the masses here. truck will shift into 2nd gear, then automatically lock in the torque convertor.. it will stay locked all the way up to overdrive then it will lock and unlock continuously. Once i slow down for a redlight or something, the convertor will stay locked, when almost to a dead stop almost stalling the engine.. have to hit the brakes 2-3-4 times before it will then unlock the convertor, and then it sometimes still acts like it wants to lock it up.. ive changed the vss, check and had a buddy of mine (ford tech) to check the tps, checked all wires, and its still doing it.. New filter, new fluid, and other things. the trans does not slip at all and really works good other than that stupid ****.

as of today, i changed the vss (twice) had the tps checked and was good, nuetral safety switch good, changed fluid AGAIN, checked pigtail and its perfectly fine, checked other wires and all good. bought and put in a brand new solenoid pack and still didnt fix it... Would the torque convertor itself be causing it to do this dumb crap?
