99 tranny in a 94

will the transmission from a 1999 f350 work in a 1994. im looking into picking up a 1994 with a bad tranny and i have the option for a cheap 1999 tranny. any advise will help

It will work, you will have to cap off a few seneors that arn't used and swap your MPLS from the E4OD.

ok is it a smart swap. or would i be better off rebuilding the e4od? and has anyone ever done the swap?? is there a write up or anything

If the transmision is in good shape and you get it for a good price then there is nothing wrong with using it. Some of the major builders like BTS will ship out 4R100's in place of a E4OD.
