1997 auto tranny Ghost!!!
I have a 97 f250. After a weekend of wheeling with the four wheeler I was headed home from Jacksonville which is a 2 and 1/2 drive. Anyways I got to crazy with the chip (and my foot) which I don't have gauges yet. But I put a tranny in february of 2012 and have warrentied it 6 times now lol. I'm glad I spent the extra $ for the warranty. But I believe I have a ghost lol. Thoughts? I know I defiantly have pod gauges on top of wish list.

Welcome to the ORG. East Texas Boy. Yes you sure need to get a set of gauges for
your truck, and you need to find out why your tranny is running so hot. Heat kills a tranny faster then anything. Where do you live that's 2.5 hours from Jacksonville. Doug Last edited by WD40; 04-24-2012 at 07:42 PM. |

Yes I know where Emory, TX. is been there a time or two, we had a Dyno Day there
a few years ago, it was a lot of fun. What does the transmission shop say about having to rebuilt your transmission 6 times under warranty? Something is not right. Doug |

Calling bull**** on this. There is absolutely no way you're running through a transmission every two weeks, let alone your shope is fixing them on warranty at that rate.
Hell, with the downtime alone involved with a shop R&R'ing your trans you'd never be driving the truck. |
